ERIN HAWKINS CONSULTING
ERIN HAWKINS, MA, BSN, RN, CCM
Erin Hawkins is a healthcare professional, medical consultant, and producer for the television and film industries. Having gained recognition for her extensive experience in orthopedics, oncology, women's services, and healthcare management – and fueled by her passion for both the big and small screens alike – Erin founded Erin Hawkins Consulting to provide guidance and an honest perspective to television and film productions in order to achieve a realistic portrayal of on-screen medical situations.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Erin began dancing at age 6, and by the age of 11 had transitioned into modeling, acting, and singing. Ever enamored with the entertainment industry, Erin’s pursuit for a career in the arts was given pause by her father’s persistent urging that she choose a career path that would provide her with a steady job.
The birth of her goddaughters was the event that would ultimately spark Erin’s love for nursing and at the same time ease her father’s mind. Erin went on to work with teen moms in her local school district where her responsibilities included teaching childbirth classes, conducting face-to-face visits, and following up with them pre- and post-delivery. Because of the program, Erin was able to mentor and encourage the teen moms to integrate back into school and graduate.
The more experience Erin gained in the medical field, the more she began to notice discrepancies in medical situations on television and in film. And her desire to correct those inaccuracies naturally and perfectly dovetailed her two life passions into one clear and concise career. Erin Hawkins Consulting now advises on everything from initial concept of characters and medical themes, to script and on-set advice, and through an array of pre/post-production components. She works with writers, actors, editors, and producers alike to strengthen and legitimize the overall medical structure and on-screen story.
Erin received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington, Master’s of Arts degree in Leadership from Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma, and is certified in both Mental Health First Aide and Case Management. Erin has most recently consulted for the STARZ network on a medical drama pilot script, brokered a distribution deal with 1091 Pictures, and is credited as an Executive Producer for multiple projects currently in development.
Erin currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and four children.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
"I cannot recommend Erin enough. Her medical consulting for my pilot script was fast and spot on. Not only did she take the time to read the entire script, but she also knew exactly where her expertise was needed. Erin was able to give specific examples that benefited the story and gave it the level of authenticity I was looking for. I would definitely recommend Erin for medical consulting whether it be on page or on set."
